About the Wellness Challenge

Starting January 3, 2012 visit the WVU Extension site to view the weekly wellness challenge.

Wellness challenges will be very simple and change each week. All challenges will have measureable outcomes and the idea is to pick and choose those challenges that fit into your lifestyle.

Weekly challenges will focus on health and wellness and not on dieting or weight loss. Example of challenges may be:

  • decrease the number of sugary drinks that you drink each day by one;
  • take the stairs instead of the elevator;
  • eat at least 3 sit-down meals with family and/or friends.

Each week, an “expert coach” will blog about information related to that week’s health challenge. You will also be able to follow blogs of employees participating in the challenge.

This is a work in progress, so we are also looking and open to any ideas that you may have to make this initiative better and more user-friendly.
